🔗 Share this article The Animated Series' Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread. The first season presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession. The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together? "Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!" The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series. That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season. "I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before." She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards. "I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy." Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
